alada ( It’s different! )

In my cellphone, this playlist comtains songs that are of course among my favorites, and are somewhat different from the dal-chawal music of the respective band or genre. Some of them are known hits, some maybe a bit obscure. So here goes ( order doesn’t matter, of course ) …

  1. Kahin na Laage Mann by Mohit Chauhan / Shreya Ghosal – Pure Mohit Chauhan magic, unconventional music.
  2. Lose Yourself by Eminem – Powerful lyrics, more than anything else.
  3. Duur and
  4. Kahani Mohabbat Ki by Strings – Songs for all seasons, with the uniqueness of Strings.
  5. Summer of 69 by Brian Adams – The more you hear it, the more you like it.
  6. Hero by Enrique Iglesias – Same as the last one. Just awesome.
  7. Words by Boyzone. One of the few songs you fall in love with the first time you hear it. … “It’s only words, and words are all I have to take your heart away.”
  8. Somebody’s Me by Enrique Iglesias – Everyone will relate with this song.
  9. Wake Me Up When September Ends and
  10. Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day – Though I don’t like Green Day in general because they lack in variety, these two rock, literally.
  11. Fix You by Coldplay. I like Rock … with strong guitar riffs and drums, and meaningful lyrics. It’s final.
  12. Numb by Linkin Park. Rap does combine well with Rock.
  13. My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion – only a formality, saying ‘the titanic song’ would’ve sufficed, no doubt 🙂 . This one would find place in anyone’s favorites playlist.
  14. Teri Deewani by Kailash Kher – One of his first songs, … What can i say ? Awesome.
  15. Breathless by Shankar Mahadevan – How did he do it ? I hear he ‘stole’ three breaths in the 3 minutes of the song. Still, … it’s almost impossible.
  16. Pagla Haoar Badol Dine by Shreya Ghosal / Nachiketa – A typical rabindrasangeet given an extreme makeover. You’ll cringe out of conservativeness the first time you hear it, but eventually would enjoy it nonetheless.

Just imagine what happens when you hear this list with ‘shuffle’ on. A small sampling … in one shuffle, Lose Yourself came first, then Breathless, and then Pagla Haoar Badol Dine ( before continuing with others ) !! The list will surprise you in every shuffle.
