I fear that I will always be
A lonely number like root three.
A three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath a vicious square-root sign?
I wish instead I were a nine,
For nine could thwart this evil trick
With just some quick arithmetic.
I know I’ll never see the sun.
Such is my reality,
A sad irrationality.
When, hark, just what is this I see?
Another square root of a three
Has quietly come waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integer
We break free from our mortal bonds
And with a wave of magic wands
Our square-root signs become unglued,
And love for me has been renewed.
(This beautiful poem appeared in the film ‘Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay’.)

Its been such a long time since I did maths, it took me sometime to picture it in my mind.
I like this new theme. Very nice.
Dark backgrounds sites are also eco-friendly.
Or perhaps because it takes me back to chalks on blackboard schooldays.
yeah, somehow i too get to like dark backgrounds. but i didn’t get that eco-friendly bit
All dark windows are eco-friendly because they suck less energy to run the monitor.
aha … i was also thinking on that line.
I wonder what Nikita would say about our preference of dark backgrounds.
BTW, I just realised we are ’similar’ on two of the similarminds test.
WOW! New blog-theme! It looks great! I like this poem!
